My First Attempt

I have always been more of a cooker than a caker so when my Mom came to me with a request for a pirate themed cake I was very apprehensive. After much debate of what design I should use, I decided to make a Treasure Chest cake. I think that the final outcome was great (considering of course my lack of cake decorating experience) although the recipe that I used for the cake itself was quite a let down.
